Membership
1. Prospective members must either be a male or female person who falls within the age bracket of 1977–1981 or be a secondary school graduate between the classes of 1994–1997.
2. A minimum of 80% of current members must be able to vouch for the honesty and integrity of any intending member.
3. Interested individuals are required to obtain the membership form valued at ₦1,000,000. Please note that this is not about the amount, but about the value we are collectively building for Renaissance.
4. For now, membership will be capped at a maximum of 25 members, until the group collectively decides otherwise.

Our membership committee reviews your application within 5 working days and may contact you for a brief conversation.
Once accepted, you'll receive your welcome package, member credentials, and onboarding session details.
Attend your first event, connect with mentors, join the forum — and begin your Renaissance journey.
Wedding support shall be provided for a member’s first two children only. For each wedding ceremony, the member shall receive a gift equivalent to the value of one Medium Cow (350kg). The gift shall be paid in cash. The cash value shall be based on the prevailing market price of a Medium (350kg) cow at the time of the event. Payment shall be made in Naira (₦).
Bereavement support shall be provided in the event of the death of one parent or one parent-in-law, whichever occurs first. The benefit shall be equivalent to the value of one Medium Cow (350kg). The support shall be paid in cash, based on the prevailing market price. Payment shall be made in Naira (₦).
Political support shall be granted when a member becomes the official flag bearer of a political party at the general/main election level, not at the primary stage. The approved support amount is Two Million Naira (₦2,000,000).
A member relocating to another country shall be entitled to relocation support equivalent to the cost of a one-way flight ticket to the destination country. This benefit applies to the member only. The member shall make personal arrangements for their spouse and/or dependents.
Health support for terminal illness shall be determined based on the current minimum wage applicable at the time of the request. This benefit applies to either the member or the member’s spouse, not both.
A member must be regular and consistent in monthly contributions. A member must actively participate as a giver whenever the group undertakes projects or makes voluntary donation requests. Any member who does not meet these obligations shall not qualify for the listed benefits.
1. Grounds for Termination
Membership of Ijare Renaissance may be terminated on any of the following grounds:
a. Voluntary resignation submitted in writing to the Secretary.
b. Failure to pay dues or financial obligations for a period exceeding three months.
c. Conduct deemed detrimental to the aims, objectives, reputation, or unity of the Association.
d. Gross misconduct, including fraud, misrepresentation, harassment, or breach of trust.
e. Violation of the Constitution, By-Laws, or duly adopted policies of the Association.
f. Criminal conviction involving moral turpitude.
2. Disciplinary Procedure
a. Any allegation against a member shall be submitted in writing to the Executive Committee.
b. The affected member shall be given written notice of the allegation and at least seven days to respond.
c. The member shall be given the opportunity to defend themselves before a Disciplinary Committee or the Executive Committee.
d. The Committee shall make a recommendation, which may include warning, suspension, or termination.
3. Decision and Voting
a. Termination of membership shall require a 2/3 majority vote of the Executive Committee
b. The decision shall be communicated in writing to the affected member within seven days.
4. Appeal
a. A terminated member may appeal the decision within thirty days of notification.
b. The appeal shall be reviewed by an independent Appeals Committee.
c. The decision on appeal shall be final.
5. Effect of Termination
a. A terminated member forfeits all rights, privileges, and benefits of membership.
b. Termination does not relieve the member of any outstanding financial obligations to the Association.
